I have an early January 2010 Prius. I'm new to techstream but have endeavored to understand it and use it recently. Two weeks ago, a towing company took my prius about 20 miles and only lifted the front end. This wasn't for any problem with the vehicle other than its location. They said this was the standard tow method for my vehicle and I didn't question it at the time. I have now heard a flat bed is needed. *shakes head* After the tow, my traction control light was on and I was unable to use my hill assist feature. I let this go for a couple weeks until I could get techstream going...

I used techstream to reset the ABS system, something I thought would clear the traction control light. It didn't do that and it ended up additionally illuminating the ABS, the ((!)) and the Brake light. Upon driving it, the brakes don't work properly, specifically, the regen zone doesn't really brake or charge the system. I have not looked specifically at the codes just yet, but will do that. Upon further online reseach, I discovered that there were issues with the braking system on these early gen 3's and a software patch was issued, something I believe my prius had done by the PO.

I believe that I cleared the patch code with my reset and I'm wondering if techstream provides a method for re applying this "fix." I tried to go through the dealer and well... we all know how that goes if you don't go in with an ak-47 and a head full of acid. Does anybody have any advice for me? I'd sure appreciate it as the braking ability has been downgraded to dangerous if not un-drivable. Many thanks to anyone who can point me in the right direction!

I accidentally reset the memory within the EBS memory instead of clearing the codes... soo... yea that's where I'm at right now...
