Can anyone recommend the best way to package it to send it in for the update?

I use the small priority mail box at an automated postal station. The recept comes with a tracking number and costs under $5. Make sure the buttons are not resting against a side to minimize risk. Sensible packing and of course the note.

I wrapped it up in bubble wrap and sent it in a USPS priority mail box. ScanGauge is returning it today via USPS priority also

mine's due back Friday December 29th, I just bought it from Amazon took everything out of the package except the head unit and used the same package that Amazon sent. And supplied a copy of the post that Linear Logic posted about the update.

Thanks, I didn't know about those boxes. I ended up doing the same. They probably have it by now. I have been offline for a while. Lost internet access for days.

  8. Bob, I just got my ScanGauge II back with Firmware 4.50 from LinearLogic, and the problem is not fixed. My ScanGauge II stays on when using COM mode even after I turn my Prime off. I have it on fuel type hybrid, so what other settings am I supposed to have?

    How did you test it?

I checked it the next morning and found it off. When on the EVSE, the OBD passes traffic and I've seen the ScanGauge come on. Only when not charging and/or standalone off does it shutdown the Scangauge.

  10. I have the fuel type set to hybrid and the sleep event set to COM. What is supposed to happen when I turn off my Prime is that ScanGauge II is supposed to turn off with it. But it wasn't doing that before the update, and still isn't after. I waited 3 minutes. It just stayed on and didn't turn off. I'm not doing any charging. Just... pull in to a parking space, and turn it off.

However, I already heard back from LinearLogic, fast customer support. They are going to swap my unit out free of charge, turns out that there is "a specific software to prevent the unit from staying on after the [Prius Prime] has been shut off," and that I "received the wrong software," which is why mine still wasn't working. *shrug*

So, that means: There may be some confused Prime owners out there. If you're going to send your unit in for a firmware update, explicitly mention that you want the sleep COM event to work with software specific for your Prime.

Timely, I got my scangauge back from being upgraded, wrote on the paper it was for a 17 prime advanced and low and behold, it doesn't turn off, was waiting for linear logic to open so I could call and see why it wouldn't turn off when I happened on this thread, now I simply will ask for the fix and any other upgrades available, (tire pressure X-gauges) it's fantastic linear logic is on the board and this updated info is the cat's meow.

I think we need to make a mental note, in any ScanGuage discussions, to flag with @Linear Logic , which will give you a heads-up if you want to respond.

Update, linear logic is sending out a unit with Prime on off adjustment's and tire pressure xgauge update, then I send my unit back, that's outstanding service.

Here's a list I have for the Prius Prime currently. They're still being tested so they're not directly listed on our Toyota XGauge page yet, but feel free to try them out.

Thanks again to Linear Logic for being so attentive.
I entered all these new codes in my Prime Technology (Canadian version) to test them out.
Only two fail to provide any information, Hybrid Battery Temperature 1&2.
Since this is the information I was most looking for I am hopeful Linear Logic will look into it a bit more.
