Thanks Im aware of that, but I have only the modules, which is why I'm trying to deduce if these modules from pack 1 are older than 2012.

Pack 2 modules are from September 19, 2015.

You got a better pic of pack #1?

06/18/2013 would be my guess Day 18, Month 6, Year O=2013

@ericbecky or @strawbrad might know--that PDF implies that the serial number is different if it was made before 2008.

    Need a better pic ;).

What year is the seller saying they are?

How many modules are you looking for and what year are the modules you have?

If they are too far apart in age, they may not integrate well into their new environment :(.

    Something to consider (y).

Seller was saying 2013, but I doubt it.. the capacity was terrible. The 2nd pack I have, not pictures is actually a 11/2012, which means 2013 pack. I have a feeling it's a pre2008 pack.

I’d ask the seller for another pic to confirm the age of the module;).

If he’s saying it’s a 2013, I’d consider that to be true. Does he offer any warranty or guarantee on the module?

So I've attached another pic of the pack.. it's bizzare. I've never seen this numbering style.. even on my 2007 it has a different type.

Don't make it more complicated than it is. First 2 digits are the day of the month (1-31). Third digit is the month (1-9, x, y, z) Fourth digit is the year. I always remember L=2010 on modules. So "O"= 2013

Put it all together and you have 6/18/2013 for the manufacture date

Same reason you have 9/19/2015 for the other pack modules.

The older modules like your 2007 have the same decode sytem, but the serial numbers are just straight across near the center of the module. The new location with 2 rows started sometime in the Gen 3s. Gen 4 modules that I've seen went back to the straight version again.

Serial number decode is the same, but they stopped using the paint marks on the terminal nuts. Prior to sep 2008, it's super easy to see if someone messed with the battery just by looking at the paint marks.

You sure that those are "O" and not a "0"? If it's an O that solves my mystery of the year.

Yes the 4th digit is always a letter, never a numeral.

Manufacturers should be banned from ever using 1, I , lowercase L, 0, or O in serial numbers!!!!
