Prius would not speed up when I want to take off

    My Prius gen2 would not pick up when try to speed up. It's very sluggish. Pls what could be the cause?
    When I try to accelerate climbing a hill, it will start to decelerate.

    likely the battery, but possibly the engine. have you cleaned and regapped the plugs?

    is the parking brake frozen?

    Car moves perfectly now,...left with p3000 code
    Any more idea on how to face that?

    The HV (traction) battery is very weak and about to completely die. Repair or replace. TONS of info here on how to do both properly but availability in Africa may be very completely different.

    Thanks, I scanned the hv battery and my scanner complained of a block, I would look into it tomorrow. I did turn up on the car and the movement is very shart.
