(FYI: I had to break that up into two messages in order to stay under 420 characters.)

Can you use your Google-fu powers to see if the part numbers match up with the problem cars from the lawsuit in this thread:
      https://www.classaction.com/toyota-oil-consumption-defect/lawsuit/
It would be from any of the following models/years:
      2007-2009 Toyota Camry
      2007-2011 Toyota Camry Hybrid
      2007-2008 Toyota Solara
      2009 Toyota Corolla
      2009 Toyota Matrix
      2006-2008 Toyota RAV4
      2007-2008 Scion Tc
      2008-2009 Scion Xb

      Hi Mendel.
I'm reaching out to you re: the oil consumption thread in which I posted yesterday. In past threads, you've provided links that show the old and new part numbers for the rings and pistons in the Gen-3 Prius -- indicating that there was a change to correct the problem at some point (2015?).

Mendel, I need your opinion on braking system.
On my Prius V 2012 rear guiding pins are seized in caliper bracket. Is it better to remove the bracket and replace the pins only or just replaced the pins and bracket as a unit?
I can not seem to move/rotate the pin, even with a hammer.

No sorry, no experience like that. It's just good to see careful and concise reporting of conditions and results, appreciate your posting.

Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's view's and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one's valid opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say.?
