Only have had one issue in the month and a half and 1400 miles, and that was the console doing a reboot as I was driving along with the nav system in use. Everything came back up except my destination which I had to reprogram back in. Wasn't touching the screen at the time. Just driving along.
We all should be aware that there will be software upgrades to fix many of these problems. Just like on any computer operating system. Most of these problems will be intermittent and therefore won't be seen by the service department. I suggest waiting for the bug fixes.

I just waved bye bye to the warranty period (over 36,000 miles in 14 months) with only 1 issue: bad 12 volt battery (just replaced under warranty). I jumped the car with a handful of flashlight batteries, and now have a small LI jumppack ($40).

Yes. I've had my 2017 Prius Prime Advance for about 3 weeks and the voice recognition was working when I gave it a music command but now it says I have a usb error and check iPod sub connection. Voice recognition works for all the other commands just not the music. Any suggestions to correct this?

My Prius prime advanced, while driving down the freeway also went blank. Two of us in the car. Coasting to exit and it restated like it had been turned off. Very scary as Toyota doesn’t know why. Just can’t drive it anymore.

I was told the port is fro data only- not charging as it has the q pad for phone that can charge that way. The cable port is for data only. ( certainly ly not what sales rep told me since there is only one cable port )

You were told wrong. I've used mine for charging many times. However, since my iPhone is normally connected by bluetooth, I don't use the data port with it since that can make the system unstable (p. 108 and 280 in my Nav manual).
