Almost no glare problems; more dust problems.
Almost never any bottom end clearance problems on hundreds of driveways; only Polly's Pies shopping center driveway needs angle approach.
"The car is heavy; doesn't zip off the line" comment was written by H. G. Wells: it's pure SCIENCE FICTION!! I'll take on ANY car off the line to 45mph with my Prime Advanced!! I raced a Dodge Magnum Hemi (granted they are heavy pigs!) twice and at next red light was 2-3 car lengths ahead. Couldn't do it a third time; cop in side street heard all the noise from the "Hemi", who quickly turned off at another cross street. The Prime is much quicker than my 2012 PIP.
I do run in EV Power mode exclusively with electric range of 32-34, no A/C or heater.
Never use seat heater; too damn hot in Anaheim!
Wireless charger works but charges too slowly for me, about half the speed of direct plug in to car. No big deal.
    The car is FANTASTIC!!

My Matrix was last seen on the back of a wrecker, so I had the Prime decision forced on me a year earlier than I'd expected.

Got a Prime Advanced. Superb vehicle in every way, except one, so far.

The exception is that damned Entune suite.

I really hadn't checked before we bought this car, but I'd noticed Apple CarPlay ads in the Toyota showroom and just sorta assumed the top of the line Prime Advanced would benefit from the new system.

    I was bitterly disappointed.

I dont' notice a wit of difference between the Entune in my 2006 Prius and our new Prime.

it's an evolutionary deadend, unworthy of Toyota.

If i'd known, I'd have bought a used "bridge" vehicle until the 2019s come out.

Yep, I love almost everything about this car. The one glaring exception is Entune. It is horrible.

I have a 2018 Prius Prime Advance and my complaint is the Lane Change Assist. It worked once since I bought the Prius in May 2018. the steering wheel suddenly turned by itself and I grabbed it and steered into the middle of the lane. Since that time I have felt no "nudge" by the steering wheel and have even taken it to the dealer who reset everything to maximum. It still doesn't do what I think it should, the steering wheel doesn't move even if I purposely cross over the line/stripe. I hate to go to the dealer even thought they are courteous and pleasant. It's just a pain to go there from where I live but I still have to find out why the steering LCA ore LDA doesn't work like I think it should.

We all know that just about every car is gonna have shortcomings in a world according to us LOL. I love this car--but IMO here are some things they could change for the better:
--I miss the lane keeping assist from my previous car, which would actually steer the car back into the lane--it was a lot more aggressive versus the Prime's gentle nudge.
--The HUD needs a horizontal adjustment
--HUD should have more info--turn signals, bright light indicator, etc.
--Apple CarPlay is a must addition
--Extendable sun visor for driver and pax
--AC Cooling for battery benefit should be an automatic setting
--Auto down for all windows when unlocking with key fob (by holding down the door open button)

None of the other issues brought up under this thread bother me.
Again, love this car.....going for 300K miles with no major issues...we shall see!

This one is available for Prime and Gen 4. It’s off by default but the dealer can turn it on for you.

The key-in-lock works for window up and down but the remote is down only.

I actually hated the HUD when I first got it with not being able to adjust it horizontally. That said, I've now trained myself to sit more straight up in the seat so that the HUD is fully in view with both eyes. My back actually seems to feel better on long rides than it did. I can only assume that I was slouching a bit without realizing it.

Would I still like to see a horizontal adjustment... YES. I want to sit how I want to sit, even if it's ultimately bad for me (and doesn't that statement say something about me!).

But for all of that, you hit my biggest gripe directly on the head... the stupid, useless sun visor! I seem to do a lot of north/south driving and usually end up with the dang sun beating down directly into the side of my eyes between the sunglasses and my face. GRRRRRR

Entirely untrue. Only very specific sun angles cause glare.

Mostly untrue - better than my 2004 Prius. Only scrapes in unusual situations.

    Entirely untrue.

    Entirely true.

True, so I use a cord.

There are two things you need to know. In a settings you can actually turn it off. In your settings can check the sensitivity level. Try turning it up to high.

    1. Glare on the "Ipad" touchscreen display. Is said to "blind" drivers in the afternoon, and is mostly un-viewable when sun is out.

The glare can be bad at times, but generally speaking it has never actually prevented me from seeing the screen, nor has blinded me or even come close to doing so.

    2. Low clearance- front bumper is said to scrape on speed bumps and driveways.

Prius vehicles have low clearance. Bumpers are shaped in a way that makes it harder to hit anything, but I have accidentally scraped my bumper on high curbs. It is higher than my last prius (2013).

    3. Car is "heavy" and unlike other "pure EVs" doesn't have that quick off the line zip in pure EV mode.

EV's and Hybrids are heavy cars. Pure EV is much more snappy than a normal Hybrid. It loses acceleration when the EV battery runs out, but I have never had any issues. I prefer EV but at the end of the day, you just need to know its limits to drive safely.

    4. Heated seat control is hard to see or get to.

Absolutely correct. This is kind of annoying but I would never see it as a deal breaker. You can touch the button with little effort and it is a toggle so you can adjust it without looking easily.

    5. wireless phone charger doesn't work well at all

I can confirm this as well. I have an iPhone X. The wireless charger needs a very thin case for it to work consistently, or no case at all. If it has a thick case (most otterbox cases), it will error out and you have to pick it up and set it back down. Also, my phone frequently slides off of the sweet spot where it charges. The charging spot is slightly rubberized, but it doesn't help much.

    Thanks in advance,
    Coach

I would like to add a few things to the list.
    - The steering wheel control has no option (on the a/c dashboard screen) to turn the a/c fan off. Should give driver an option to press the left button all the way to "off."

    - The glove box is so small that I can't even save the full set of owner's manual in it. And I totally missed the ample storage compartments in my 2006.

    - The center handrest/storage compartment opens on the side instead of the front. Inconvenient for my wife to access. And by the way, why it has to be moved that far back?

    - The VSC-off message should be on all the time, or better, have a light on the dashboard, when VSC is off. It shows a message when I turn it off, but the message goes away. No message at all if I press the button again to turn it back on. What is Toyota thinking? Shouldn't the car constantly remind the driver that he/she has the VSC turned off?

    - The center hump on the rear floor returns... I know my Prius Prime is not a 5-seater but I still hate that hump.

    - The screen is not customize-able. It is always A/C setting on the lower left corner and Audio on the lower right corner. Smaller screens on Sienna, Corolla, etc are customize-able, but not Prius (Prime)? Come on.

    - The dashboard console is not built for drivers with short legs (that they need to sit close to the steering wheel), or drivers who like to sit straight. With my eyes about 6 inches below the ceiling, I can't see the gas level, the temperature, and the top half of the clock, just to name a few. The visor of the dashboard console blocks the view.
