    Hi all - thanks for all the input and replies.

    I eventually went the scrapyard route - my garage sourced a replacement speedo panel from a newer model Prius which has worked - the graphics/screen itself looks slightly different, but it works, so I'm happy with the result!

    Hey, I'm in the same boat as you. Would you mind sharing the details of where you got it fixed? Going the route with Toyota is going to be quite expensive most probably so wanted to see if there are other options.

    The issue went away temporarily but is popping up for me again so would be great if you could share details on which workshop you found to do it.
