    Hi Sgt. Bill here;
    Have a query , how often should your alloy wheels under your plastic wheel covers be cleaned.Has anyone had problems with them getting damaged from brake dust or other dirt that cannot be seen due to the covers?

    Regularly. At least as soon as you see buildup.
    Try never to allow reddish deposits to accumulate, that can really eat your wheels finish.

    Also, when deep cleaning your wheels, remember to also clean their inside, as well as the plastic covers and their backside.

    Easiest way to stay on top of this is if you’re doing your own tire rotations, or swapping between reg and snow tires (on separate rims). Having the latter case I wash/wax the loose rims, each time they’re off.

    Alternatively, you might consider taking the plastic wheel covers off for good and plonking some center caps on in their place. The stock wheels, sans covers, look pretty decent and stay much cleaner:

    You still have to deep clean the wheels, regardless! :cool::D

    But yes, it's a lot easier and less finicky.
