2007 Gen 2 Consumables List?

    Hello all. Just picked up a used 2007 with 160k, very well maintained and documented. Battery tests OK thanks to hybrid assistant.

    Wondering if someone here has an updated parts list for the consumables: oil, fluids, filters, plugs, bulbs, 12v, etc. I want to change all the filters and replace some bulbs straight away, but want to be sure I don't create more issues with less than optimal parts. Also want to replace the 12v but don't want to buy a yellow top if it won't fit properly. I've seen other suggestions on 12v and a quick search for replacing the fog bulbs pulled up some LEDs which I want to make sure are safe to use with this car.

    I made a similar list on Amazon for my other car and it's very helpful in keeping the proper stuff on hand for when something simple needs to be done. I do all of my own maintenance on my cars and have had great luck with Toyotas, but realize the HV battery is another issue altogether.

    No one has a list they can share from Amazon or some other parts store?

    Do you look up parts and re-order them every time?

    prius are so reliable, there's not much parts buying. even the cabin and air filters just need a tap out and put back in.

    Your profile says you have a Package 2 car, but you mention fog light bulbs, which leads me to believe you have a higher level package. I believe it must be Package 3 or above if you have factory fog lights. In that case you would have HID headlight bulbs. They are known for going out intermittently. Generally if they go out, you can turn them on again by turning the headlight switch off and on. If they are not presently giving you a problem, I would not change them, as they are expensive and a bit of a pain to change.

    Thanks for the reply. I am learning the Prius lingo and I thought I had a "Prius 2" or 2nd gen. The package level is 5, so I appreciate your reply with details.

    I just went through my Amazon account and here is a list of things I bought clear back until the beginning of 2015. I did buy complete strut assemblies on ebay and a wheel bearing at the local parts store but a lot of this stuff I still have like the brake rotors and a full case of oil filters but it really doesn't take much to keep a Prius running. I owned mine for ten years and never took it back to the dealer except for recalls. I traded it in November and bought a 2016 four and am hoping for the same experience.

    Thanks for this list. I'm going to make a prius list just like I did for my other cars. It makes it real easy to just order what you're going to need fast, or at least check model and part numbers before buying something locally to make sure you are using the right stuff.

    Those little LEDs are for interior lights? I think I need to replace the driver's side headlight lens because it's yellow and the other one looks very clear. Also still looking into the fog light bulbs since the driver's side is out. What's the recommended oil for a Prius of this age and mileage (2007/160k)? I usually keep oil, filters and crush washers in "stock" for when I do an oil change.

    Which reference manual do you guys use for the 2007 2nd gen? I usually use Chilton's just to have some paper on hand.

    I use Mitchell1DIy for my manual. It is owned by Snap On Tool.

    I use the weight the manufacturer recommends and Mobil1 synthetic. My 2008 was 10 years old when I traded it in November last year and had 108,000 and never used any oil. Because it never broke I hardly got to know the car, I just drove it.
