    Hello all,

Got a 2012 Prius V and the App button does nothing and the bluetooth touchscreen button does nothing. I heard of a harness or extension module issue. Any suggestions? Also is there a write up on removing the panels to get to the radio to verify?

Thanks for that. The issue is the original posters picture (extension box) cuts off where the part number is.

Looks like the right part. For verification take your vin to a dealer parts dept and have them look it up. Sometimes there is an updated part number.

Thanks for that. Bought the $74.97 one. Will report back once I install it. Found a great video on the R&R of the head unit.

Ok, installed and it was a breeze. Follow the video for removal. The good used extension box worked perfectly. Bluetooth connected perfect and APPS worked like a charm. Thanks for the helps all!

I just joined the forum to say thanks for this.
My bt/maps went out a few months ago, and then I found this information. So I pulled the radio out and verified the accessory box part number was 86100-YY050
Bought one on ebay for around $150

Installed it a few days ago, and now system works fine. Only weird thing is the color scheme for some screens changed to red,
I think it was blue before.

Also wanted to add I only needed the little orange tool for the little panel on the left that covers the gear stick and start button.
The other pieces, you can grab and just pull out. Especially the vent piece above the radio.

Guessing a $1000 fix at the dealer, so saved a ton of money and it was pretty easy to change the box out.

I’m having the same problem. Just started today. I’ve never had a thing wrong on this car, and extended warranty just ended.. they timed that right . Sounds like buying the replacement is the way to go. I can’t connect to the phone at all or the apps, or Bluetooth.
