I have been having problems with my 17 prime advanced. Everytime i drive on a hill, turn, back out, I hear loud squeaking in the rear left door or back. Somewhere in the rear left. The dealer thinks its body flex issue but they cant seem to pinpoint the problem. Both toyota dealerships i went too can hear the problem but cant fix it. Does anyone else have the same issue?

Yeah mine comes from the pillar on the driver side. I hear it every time I go over a bump or turn slowly.

I have a somewhat similar issue when making a slow right turn from a full stop, such as when leaving a parking lot. I hear a single "chirp" coming from (apparently) the left rear of the car.

Does it happen at a specific speed?

it happens when i back out, turn, enter a parking lot, leave a parking lot, a hill. Its been in service for a week now and they took apart the car and still cant isolate the problem. They all agree though that it is not a normal nose and now corporate is involved. Hopefully they do something about it. Since i work at toyota of DTLA i talked to a prius specialist and he said there was some production defects with rear left side of the car during production. He said only a handful of cars have this problem and i guess mine is one of them sadly. i wish i can upload the video i have so you all can hear this.

Whoa there’s a defect? Mine definitely has this issue. It either comes from the pillar or behind me near the wheel.

If another similar prime doesn't make that noise, you have a lemon. Return it under the lemon law

I also have same issue with 2015 model, there is a squeezing sound from rear left side. I am also unable to pinpoint the problem, really annoying. (sound only when driving on bumpy roads, jumps, or speed breakers etc)

If there was a production problem and it affects a small number of cars I assume that they were all made near the same date. Mine was made in March, 2017 and the last five digits of the VIN are 15296. Is that close to yours? I haven't noticed the problem, but I do wear hearing aids.

Mine had a similar problem... turned out the door latch was missing a bolt. Kudo's to the tech that found that! The moment they put the missing bolt in the (really annoying) noise went away.
