2018 Prime Adv - Driver's Side Vent does not blow while others work

    I have a 2018 Prime Advanced.

    The vents on the drivers side stopped working. I brought to local dealer, and they reset the system(vent movement settings). It worked for two weeks, then failed again. I took back to the dealer and they said they will need to replace the solenoid for the airflow. In order to do that, the dash must be pulled out.

    Has anyone ran into this problem. My car is only 6 months old. I'm a little worried to have the whole dash pulled out.

    Sorry to hear the trouble on your PRIME. I have not come across any thread specifically mentioning HVAC problem in any year model of PRIME. You might have one of those few cars with early failure on "the bath tub curve". It is still under the warranty isn't it? I would let the dealer take care of it. As for the taking the whole dash pulled out, it is fairly minor thing. I had mine taken out to correct buzzing sound coming from behind the dash. No big deal.

    Welcome to the site.

    Sounds like a big deal but it isn't. Besides, it needs to be fixed. Keep taking it back until it is right. There are videos here on this site of owners pulling the dash to do various things and it's not that big of a deal.
