Any idea what is this?

    Today I picked up my new 2018 Prius Prime Premium, after I got home, I found this in the drawer:

    The part number is 90950-01259. The package said "TO PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTOR: INSERT THESE RUBBER PLUGS INTO THE HOLES OF THE CENTER FLOOR SIDE MEMBER EXTENSIONS". I looked up the parts diagram and have no idea where is it, and what is this for. Any idea?

    I’ve read the holes are shipping tie down points. The plugs keep water, snow/salt out. They SHOULD have been installed the the dealer during PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection).

    As @schja01 kindly mentions, and as discussed previously (Rubber plugs installed at pre-delivery inspection? | PriusChat), the dealer should have installed those plugs, and was probably paid by Toyota to do so as part of the pre-delivery service. For the 2018 Prius Prime, see Toyota service bulletins T-SB-0004-18, “Pre-Delivery Service Check Sheet,” and T-SB-0005-18, “2018 Prius Prime Pre-Delivery Service (PDS).”

    If I were you, I’d wonder what other steps in the PDS they might have missed. It would be entirely proper to insist that the service manager and shop foreman go through the whole thing again, step by step.

    Totally agree! I wonder if your tires are still at 50 psi, too. If so, those two oversights would almost guarantee that they skipped the pdi.

    Thanks a ton everyone! I just checked, the tires are 36 psi and windshield fluid are a bit below Normal. So I will call them Monday to find out. I hope that's the only step they've missed.
