I find this some what strange due to timing. One the Prius Hybrid is just out with many dealers not receiving shipments yet. Secondly the upcoming Prime is still an unknown delivery date with target set for April/May. OK you would think that would be enough Prius news for one year. But now this article claims an all new GRMN Prius is coming end of the year or early next.

Tentatively referred to as a GRMN model (technically above the GR level), this Prius will reportedly get an improved unibody, with extra spot welds and industrial adhesives to stiffen the GA-C chassis it shares with the GR Corolla. It'll also gain improved brakes, suspension, and an exclusive interior finish that you'd expect of a GR model.

What Toyota will do for the GR Prius's powertrain isn't known, but Best Car is certain that it'll be based on the plug-in hybrid model, which we know as the Prius Prime. It sounds like there are doubts about the tuning potential of its naturally aspirated, Atkinson-cycle 2.0-liter four-cylinder, so what will power it remains uncertain.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Toyota doesn't even know if the 2023 Prius Hybrid and follow up Prime will be big sellers or not. There was discussion Toyota might only make 35,000 of each model. With new redesign and Hybrid motor, plus new plug in hybrid motor, why would Toyota come out with a third version this year, or early next. Sure seems like over saturation.

And what exactly does the GRMN stand for???

Whoops - didn't see previous post on this "rumored" new model. Sorry
