Hello, now I have 115k miles on my Prius. I want to change inverter coolant.
Do you have any special instructions for it?
    Thank you.

Profile and thread title are conflicting:cool:.

If talking about a gen4, I have an underside shot of our Prime with regards to the inverter drain:

What did you do to your Prime today?

    Maybe we’ll find out soon(y).

if there is no resistance as in the photo, then the electric mode does not turn on at all. it began to happen quite often.
If I drive without stopping for a couple of hours, then the temperature of the battery rises to 115-116 degrees. Is this normal?

The engine bay layout is the same;).

So why not help us out and eliminate the confusion we asked about:whistle:?

We will help with more data that doesn’t conflict(y).

So between @Mendel Leisk ’s manual guidance and the pics I took, you should be sorted:).

Good luck and keep us posted(y) .

It'd be a good idea to change your profile - which shows "2012 Prius Plug-in" - or you'll get this question every time you post (or people will ignore you).

Watch @NutzAboutBolts 3rd gen coolant change videos too, should be similar. Maintenance Mode procedure is handy too, at least for engine coolant change. I'm hitting the wall trying to find 4th gen procedure, guessing it's the same as 3rd gen (attached):

    Hello,
My Gen 4 Prius inverter coolant and engine coolant are mixed in the radiator. If I remove the engine coolant, inverter coolant goes down, if I add coolant in the inverter reservoir, it shows up also in the engine coolant reservoir. Is this normal?

I don't think that can be; it's two separate circuits, and two separate zones in the radiator.

Where in the system can they possibly mix? Radiator? Thank you for your time.

They can't mix anywhere; it's two separate systems. You can drain either system, without affecting the other.

This image from the repair manual engine coolant change instruction seems to show the two zones in the radiator:

    upload_2020-8-3_6-37-37.png

Note the hose is shown attached to a higher drain spigot. There's appears to be an extra zone at the bottom of the radiator, with a separate drain spigot (I've coloured it yellow). That I believe is for the inverter coolant.

Here's the repair manual info for both:

Do you need the Toyota Tech Stream to run the pump to evacuate the air? I have a 16 I am wanting to do the inverter and coolant replacement.
