Got a code reader? Techstream software on an old laptop? Try disconnecting the 12v then reconnect to see if it will start?

Take it back to the dealer or whoever changed the inverter. Brand new inverter by the dealer or used? I know they have to flash the system for the new inverter but I have to assume you drove it home?

Well you should check if the battery interlock is locked in place. I'm assuming you took that off

Shade tree mechanic to save $$$. Took your advice Ray and checked the connections. Fired right up. Ended up being the fuse lever wasn't properly engaged. First time doing this project so, overlooked it. All in cost for a used inverter, inverter pump and high voltage gloves was about $320 and 4 hours of effort.

Hitting the hay and will bleed the coolant tomorrow when I have something in my tank. Thanks everyone.

Hate to tell you this but Toyota has a recall on the inverter even past warranty.

I have similar problems. Where is this "Fuse lever" that you discovered.

Another common problem is improperly reseating the inverter connector if it was unplugged during the procedure.

How do you know if the connector is connected correctly?

Flashing the system means updating the firmware/software. Usually not needed if you bought a good used inverter and got the right part.

There is an MG ECU inside of a Gen 3 inverter. There were recalls (E0E for the liftback, F0R for the v) that changed the MG ECU firmware "calibration" version.

In the unlikely event of getting an old Gen 3 inverter that hadn't had the recall applied, and contains the wrong firmware version, it would be good to have that updated.

The calibration IDs can be viewed in Techstream and compared to the corresponding recall docs to see if the proper version is already there.

Not all of them are covered under the recall. It depends on the VIN.
