    Did you update to iOS 6.1? I had that same issue then updated and it is gone.

    Bought the wife a 5 last nite. Her 4s worked fine...the 5 does not. She still has iOS 6.01 (i think) so I'm downloading 6.1 today and I'll post here if it works

    Yep. Downloaded and installed iOS 6.1.2 and it worked. Everything works! Thanks for the info, priuschat!

    i have this issue with the iphone 4s so something is wrong with some, not all of the toyota systems.

    With my iPhione 5, I still can not use the auto pre-programmed text reply. It keeps giving me 'error can not send".

    It only works when the phone is connected to the USB which is in the Center Box armrest.

    Apple doesn't support replying from the car. Even though it might look like something is sent, it isn't.

    Strange I can receive and listen to the text messages from the car but can not reply, in particular using the pre-programmed messages!
