Low windshield washer fluid warning/light?

No light , but you do get a pop-up message in the 4'' middle screen telling you that your washer fluid is low . Must be a '' Canadian '' thing only .....

 

Wow, I did not know that. Can someone confirm this is really only for Canadian models?

Using the 4'' middle screen menus , the warning about low washer fluid is displayed in the message menu permanently until you refill. If you are using another screen like the Hybrid Indicator you get nagging pop-up messages from time to time .

i've seen it about 5 or 6 times since i own this car.



i'm not sure if it's mandatory yet but i think every new car in Canada must have a warning system about the low washer fluid.. like the back up camera is now mandatory on every new car in Canada since May 1 2018.

 

I would still ask for one; always say "I want everything I got com'n to me...". Sometimes backfires...

 

I still would like to know if this is only for Canadian models or not. I have not seen the low washer warning pop-up on my PRIME, but I may not have let the level go low enough.

 

I know this an old thread, but I just bought a 2021 Prius Prime (Canada) and I noticed that the measuring dipstick for the washer fluid was missing. I left 2 messages for the salesman about this but he never returned my calls. I guess once they have your money ........
Anyway after seeing this thread I emptied the washer fluid and sure enough I got a message on the screen saying washer fluid was low.
Too bad they cannot the correct information in the manual.

 

is it just me? i feel like o/m's are not what they used to be
