No doubt, it sucks if it happens to you.
But it still doesn't say anything about the quality of the manufacturing as a whole.

For that you need those dreadful statistics everyone hates (y)

Well, Mercedes-Benz had gull-wing doors sorted out by the mid 1950s… ;)

Maybe its just me but upon further inspection of the photos/ droplet pattern, along with the lack of moisture towards the upper trim closest to the glass seems illogical...... call me the skeptic but I think there may be more to this story.

My Japanese made Prius had more issues than my North American made Matrix.

So did the DeLorian. But Tesla has falcon wing doors; they are hinged at the roof to side junction so the door doesn't hit the garage or parking deck ceiling.

But was the matrix made in the US or Canada? I believe bisco's "us" meant the US.

I don't recall. It was used, and could have been actually imported from Canada.
I just don't believe where a car is made matters as much as the company that made it.
NUMMI made Vibes had less problems some years than NUMMI made Matrix. Does that mean Pontiac was better at building cars than Toyota?

Yeah, but DeLorean was 30 years after Benz. DeLorean was an absolute piece of cack, as was his car (IMNSHO), although I understand he furnished his corporate office with some pretty exotic artwork! :sneaky:;):)

Lemon laws usually require a number of defects, or the inability to repair one after multiple attempts.

There is, I ran it though an automatic car wash. It leaked at the jets spray the back. it looks to be leaking on the back window, not the curved and from the bottom. The dealer surprisingly said they was able to replicate this, however they just probably did what I did and run it though the wash.

Ok this makes more sense.... The water being pressurized passed the bottom of the hatch/ seal at the latch area and splashed the INSIDE of the rear hatch and window. So can one assume the dealer made no repairs?

    **Update**

What a day and many phone calls. By the end up of day I finally got word of what they thought was going on. The dealer was able to verify the leak. They dont think its coming from the curved glass. They said its the small below that and they think it just needs resealed. They said they have to take it to a 3rd party to have the work done. I am personally very concerned about 3rd party work on a new car. I voiced this with the manager and suggested a possible replacement and he was kinda condescending and said I am over overreacting. I dont know, maybe I am overreacting.. So anyways, I talked to Toyota corp and voiced how I felt and they said they would contact me by end of business day tomorrow. So guess we will see how Corp feels about it. Shortly after all this the Service manager called me. This guy was great and understanding, I was actually impressed with him. He explained things better in a way. They dont know why the trim was the way it was and not installed correctly. They think this is a very rare case with the widow and the trim.

So, Tomorrow I should hear back from Toyota Corp and how they feel about 3rd party work and my worries about such. I wont know about how my window turns out until the end of the week if I am lucky. And if I am lucky I will find out if the window just needs re sealed and reinstalled or if a new window needs to be ordered from Toyota. *sighs*
