So, thoughts? I'm wondering if this is for the Gen 1 Leaf, or if he's referring to the Gen 2.

or gen III? 'foresee the day' and 'exploring new materials and chemistry solutions' sounds fairly far off to me.

I think in 5 years time, every electric plug in will have around 250 miles range

I suspect that this major battery upgrade is going to show up in the next generation Leaf (2017). I'm convinced that there will be a much more modest range increase available as a higher trim level option for the last year of the current generation Leaf (2016).

this is our fourth or fifth takeover in a decade or so. boston edison, commonwealth edison, nstar, national grid, i'm sure i'm forgetting a few. utilities commissioner must be getting a payoff or something fishy. same ceo of all companies, tom may, maid 9 million last year and getting a 17% raise. shareholders must love him.

Ouch. Our (two-tier) rate is 7.5/11 cents per kilowatt hour. Not sure where the threshold to higher rate is, but our bill is always 7.5 cent rate.
