Oh this should be exciting! You can talk about your heads up displays,HDD navigation w/large displays, Softex leather seats, and LED headlights.... Oh wait, you cant.

What the heck are you guys going to talk about in this thread?

I'm going to talk about the seven thousand dollars I didn't spend on an options package which features Genuine Toyota Fake Leather Seats.

What is the weight difference, and what makes up that difference? The DRCC radar and heads-up display, what else? Or am I missing seeing a :) here?

I am horribly DISAPPOINTED with the almost useless navigation display. If I had known how bad it looked and how unreadable it was I would probably have bought the Advanced. It's an extreme step down from my '05, and I just didn't think that Toyota could offer such poor hardware after seven more years of development.

I guess this isn't exactly in the spirit of this thread. Sorry.

I bought this car to save money....Bells/whistles are great but for me the base has enough of what is needed.

I agree with the poster above. The advanced was just way too much money IMO. No offense to you guys who got em.

Is it possible to upgrade the head unit in the base to that of the advanced?

    Looks good, Rockerdan

I like your front plate mount.. you have any pics of the mount before you put it on the car? Also, how is it secured to the front grill?

    Thanks

    hehe:whistle:

I have the Advanced package, and occasionally, right after I start the car, the HDD display screen will be dark for a minute or two, and then display the map. I can go to the other screens, like Audio or the setup screens, but the map and the backup camera screens are dark. The still-functional buttons are responsive as usual (no delays/hangs). When the map finally "wakes up", it behaves normally. I don't have to do anything other than wait for it to wake up. It does this about 10% of the time. I have tried to correlate this to something, but it seems totally random. Makes me wonder if there is something wrong with hard drive or something.

    Any ideas?
