Toyota has an OK video on this with subtle details. It says it will accumulate up to 1,000 stops on your routes over about 1 week of time.

Is there a description of the different icons that show up and what they mean?

Yes, they are in the manual. I don't have my vehicle yet, but I've read the manuals about 3 times and watched all the videos. ;)

Cool!!! What were the biggest factors that made you decide on the Prius?

I bought my 2010 new and am still driving it. I've hypermiled the heck out of it so a plug-in just makes sense to me. I'm interested to see what I can achieve with it. The 2010 is getting a little long in the tooth so it's time to change.

Do you know where this setting is? Do you have to turn it on or is it a default?

Wow! Have not seen this on my Prime, but have not been looking for it. I hypermille (starting with my 2010 Gen3), and like more direct control.
As an Electrical Engineer doing control system design - sounds like quite a challenge to get right (and SAFE!).
    Will go looking for it...

These green dealy doolies have been popping up on my screen for several days now as the car learns my common routes. The automatic predictive regen braking isn't as strong as I would like it to be, but is an encouraging tech to experience. If it were any stronger, it might be a safety problem, actually. I'm pretty sure they took that into account when dialing it in during development. I like how they're small green dots when you're a block away, and then get bigger as you almost approach the intersections. By the time the icon is large, the regen is already starting.

    Not true at all.

The icon seems to get large when the car decides you must be going to that intersection. For me, this can be as far as a couple blocks away or as near as a couple hundred yards depending on if there are other possible turn off locations between you and the cataloged intersection. The regen starts at different locations depending on your speed. It seems to target arriving at the intersection at about 20mph. This means it starts much earlier if you are going fast and much later if you are going slow.

I have yet to see a single leaf appear on my screen. I pretty much drive the same route everyday. What am I doing wrong?

I found that. But it was already on. I have noticed that at some of my frequent stops, the regen does increase slightly. But still no icon

My green icons took over a week to begin showing. 10 days maybe?
