No personal experience but from what I've read, you have the same 'light spray' that you get with HID bulbs and the lumens are less. You are better doing a retrofit like most here will recommend. But if you don't care about 'blinding' drivers, your better off with the HID and not the LED option for a cheap and easy upgrade.

I did the cheap route when i first bought my car. HID bulbs and Ballasts from DDM. Lighting significantly improved but because I was using the halogen headlights with HID bulbs, I got lots of over-spill. ( not the OEM HID headlights are much better ) Honestly the retrofit is SOO worth it. Looks and functionality.

    Thanks.
Could you please provide link to the tread or the product for a retrofit and will check it out.

Thanks! The Gen2 or Gen3 modding group is practically non-existent up here in Alberta. When I was living in SoCal, the Prius mod group was thriving and supportive!

Well GEN2 is quite old now, but I prefer it against the newer model because few reasons: better mpg, softer seats, cheaper insurance. However newer models do look better and sporty.
