I've gotten conflicting information off the web about whether one has to go through a touchless car wash if one owns a Prius Prime Advanced ( Mine is a 2018 but I assume it's the same for the 2017 model ).

The manual mentions that the sensors can be damaged, so, how do I go about taking the car through a car wash? The only touchless car wash around where I live is about 50 miles away, at least.

    Can someone clear this up?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

not sure, but i think most peeps are ignoring the warning. from what i recall reading, the biggest issue seems to be that the sensors are going off in the carwash, so they shut the systems off before entering.

I used CARISTA to turn off the sensors automatically when in neutral.
That takes care of the sensors when in a car wash.
I also make it a habit of keeping the auto sensing wipers off when not using them.
I don’t want them turning on in the car wash and damaging them.
