    Hi...

on my gen 2 I replaced the center console fabric with vinyl leather once it got worn. It was quite easy to unscrew the lid cover to do so.

However, how do I detach the top of the lit on the gen 4? There are no screws. I suspect that it might pop up if I pry in the right place but I dont want to risk breaking anything.

I'd like to add some padding to mine as well as cover the material.

Mmmmm....i didn't expect those "pins". Very interesting. Thank you.

If i can get it off, I will photograph the upgrade process and post it here. I would like to keep the same padding but with some high quality black pu-leather similar to that used on the inside door handle.

Since you just replacing the cover stuff, you should be able to just pull up on the cover, its only held on by clips I believe, I took the cover off on my Prius 3 that way.
