I love the white.....love it..... the white pieces against the black...it makes it unique and yes, a Prius is unique and the people that drive it are too, so why not have the white piece as well:)

They are usually on eBay. Toyota did not make one.

Dealerships are selling new cars with gloss black appliques, for shifter and the centre console. Would they not be Toyota accesories?

I see the shifter cover at least on Toyota USA website as an accessory.

It does seem a little absurd, for Toyota to be presenting the car with gloss white, and offering gloss black cover ups.

Toyota does not make a STEERING WHEEL applique.

    A word of advice.
    I got mine off eBay.
It’s installed with double stick tape. Make sure to do a trial run installing it before you remove the coating from the tape. When you do install it be careful not to let the tape touch the existing appliqué until you are sure it’s positioned exactly where you want it. Once the tape touches the existing appliqué it will be difficult to reposition.

I am interested in a matte black one for my Gen 4 but all the black ones I have seen are gloss.
My console is matte black so I think that color would fit in better.

Remove and/or mask it, spray with mat-black Plasti-Dip?

    It would look very seamless.

I've got a before/after pic of a shifter bezel I did that on. Before was terrible: Honda in their wisdom started with a black plastic bezel, then finished it with silver paint. Over the years, various key chains and whatever knicked the heck out of, looked terrible.

I was pleasantly surprised how good it came out. My son noticed (his car) and asked me how much the new bezel had cost, lol.

A lot easier when you can remove the part. Here is what somebody else did to plasti-dip it.
