I just got my ScanGauge ll back from upgrading at Linear Logic and have a question.
1 Programmed xguage # 1 with TDX, RFX, RDX MTH values for "Fuel Remaining" percentage. I named the program FLL . When I toggle up to that gauge all I have is its name with no data. I have also programmed other gauges and those display the data. These data are temperatures.
Why will the fuel percentage not display?
Thank you in advance for any insight.

Have you double-checked your input data? Also, where did you get the parameters for the XGauge? You may want to check against one that shows known working parameters.

Yes, I have rechecked all the perameters to no avail. However, it has got to be the problem. I got the codes from the ScanGauge web site. Perhaps I'll give them a call today.

    Thanks for the reply.

I had a similar issue when trying to program SOC. In the end I setup an entirely new xgauge and that one worked. Still don't know what the problem was the first time.

As a last resort, I'll try that next but I'm feeling like the fuel level is not supported on the Prius. It would be nice if someone could confirm this.

I used the xGuage from the google doc found on page 9 (post #164) of this thread; ScanGaugeII work on 2010? | Page 9 | PriusChat

I use the Fuel level in Gallons data in Line 79 of google doc found here; Welcome to Google Docs

Note: I have a prius v (wagon) but all the Gen III xGuage codes I have tried have worked for my vehicle.

    Enjoy.

Thanks, Chazz8. I entered the data from Adrian Black's list a few times before without any results. Just for grins, I re-edited the codes to no avail. I give up! I don't know if the 2012"s are different but it seems there is no gateway from the fuel monitoring system to the ECM... stange as it may seem.

What rev level is your SGII firmware? That is the only reason that I can think of that this XGauge is not working for you. I do not believe there were any changes made to the 2012 over the 2010 or 2011.

I just received it back from LinearLogic with an upgrade to rev. 4.06 . It's the latest and greatest. I even talked with Cristina at LL and she couldn't come up with a definitive answer as to why it wouldn't work. We entered the codes over the telephone and confirmed the data was correct. No dice.

4.06? I have 4.07 but haven't tried the fuel level gauge yet. I only use a few.

No explanation here. I have the 4.05 rev and have the Fuel Level working fine. Have you tried another XGauge location?

I'll give another gauge (location) a try... again and see what happens.
    Thanks

    The only xGuage on the Linear Logic site with Fuel Remaining percentage is for Gen II (2004-2009) Prius. When I entered that one on my 2012 Prius v (wagon but like a Gen III electronics I suspect) I also got no values. So make sure you are not useing this xGuage;
    Gas Gauge 05AC 010582A40000 1808 006400040000 gas xx.x % full

Maybe if you listed the values for the xGuage you are trying to get to work the PC comunity can determine what is happening in your situation.

The code I am using is the Prius Gen III specific. It is as follows: (TDX) 07Co2129 (RXF) 046185290000 (RXD)
2808 (MTH) 13880EC90000. This should read in "Gallons". There is a generic code that reads in (percent). That one doesn't work either. I have several other Xgauge, gauges working just fine.
Right now I am in contact with one of the engineers at LinearLogic to try and sort this out.
Hoping we can resolve this issue before I go nuts.

Ok, LinearLogic suggests that the Gen III, 2012 models do not support the XGauge commands for fuel remaining. Evidently, the later production Gen III's have had some changes made to the system firmware that won't work with the XGauge. I hope that whoever gets a ScanGauge for their 2012 Prius, reads this first before going nuts.

Did linearLogic have any supporting evidence, like other 2012 Prius owners with blank Gas Level gauges?

Why do you only have firmware rev. 4.06 when others report 4.07 ?

Why have other 2012 hatchback owners not reported Gas Level gauge results ?

Did you tell them that Gas Level guage works on my 2012 Prius v ?

Have you tried resetting yor ScanGuage2 ? Note you will lose all xGuages and will need to input them again.

Brain dump done. This is bugging me, so I can only imagine how you are feeling.

After I tried the generic gas percentage guage, it kept showing blank data for the next (approx) 10 gauges I cycled through. I just tried the generic gas guage again and when I cycled off to the next guage it just took 20 seconds to show data again. Maybe a scanGuage reset would clear that cursed generic gas guage for good from your ScanGuage. Please continue to keep us informed of your progress, or I will go crazy too.

LinearLogic had no firm answers and indicated that they were going to delve deeper into this issue. I'll just have to wait and see.

I would guess that the firmware revision numbers are to identify an upgraded unit verses a new ScanGauge. ???

I didn't tell them that your 2012 "V "worked with the Xgauge. Quite often there are production changes that can affect the same year model, depending on the build date. Maybe the assembly plants are not the same. Who knows?

Just for grins, I think I will try your suggestion and reset the ScanGauge. What's the worst that could happen?

    I'll keep you posted.

Resetting the SGII will only require you re-entering the setup parameters, hybrid, gas tank size, etc. It does not reset any configured XGauges.

Yeah, so I noticed. Are the Xgauge codes erasable or are they permanently embedded? That would sorta suck!

Yea, for some reason my scangauge reset itself. The screen color had reset and the engine size and fuel type also changed, but my xgauges were all still there.
