I just got 10k service, dealer set all tire at 42 lbs nitrogen, said with the cold front that come last week the pressure would drop and stabilize to about what they should be. I usually gauge tires about like this anyhow.

With the Gen 2 and Gen 3, weight distribution was front heavy.

    (Front/rear %)
    Gen 2: 58/42
    Gen 3: 61/39

    In comparison to Gen 4,

    Gen 4: 56/44
    Prime: 53/47

So the higher front weight bias meant that the front tires should have a slightly higher tire pressure to cope with the extra weight.

Besides, even a more balanced car may see slight benefit with a higher front tire pressure but it probably won't be measurable unless you're on a track. It could improve steering feel but most people probably won't notice.
