I tried to search for a thread where people mounted theirs and what needs to show on display but couldn't find it. I believe I've seen some pics or videos DIY and also something about downloading a file to do something with. Any suggestions?

I use Velcro to mount mine to steering column. You will need to set the gauge up to match the C. That will be in the manual that comes with the unit. I have been running a ScanGauge for several years and really like the simplicity of the unit.

I just mounted it last night after having trouble routing the cable. I didn't use Xguage yet only went thru advance settings and happy to see it's turning off when the car is off.

What are you having on your screen? I think I will use the RPM and the most important to me water temp, not sure the other two though.

Don't know why you should have trouble running cable, lots of room and choice of side or rear plug in. I run rpm, engine temp, instant mpg. I find instant mpg right in front of my eyes along with the dash average is very helpful to me. Voltage is fourth now but I switch it around. The tank average mpg is always right on when used with gallons used. If it says it needs 8 gallons to fill it that will be exactly right once you get everything set just right.
I bought an ultra gauge to play with but like this one better because of the simplicity.

    In this table:

I found 2 soc but none of the rest. What are they and where can I find them?

    Hi DKTVAV,

There are 3 worksheets in my spreadsheet, you can choose your preference for units of measurement; US or Metric at the bottom.

    Hi vincent1449p,

I did search your worksheets in both US and Metric but couldn't find LOD, C°WT, AMP and there are 2 of SoC.

    Hi DKTVAV,

LOD and C°WT is from the built-in gauges in SGII. In my spreadsheet, cld (row 111) and eCt (row 118) do the same function of displaying Engine Load and Water Temp respectively.

AMP is from GenIII Xgauges (row 25), I use a different name, IB (row 271).

SoC (row 167) and SOC (row 185) display the same State-Of-Charge. I use the former because my SGII firmware is older ver. 3.17 and cannot display multi-frame msg. You need firmware 4.xx to display the latter.

Vincent's covered it, but note you will see F°WT instead of C°WT in the built-in gauges if you don't have the device in metric mode. It's the same information, just different units.
